Durres municipality, bus tax carrying tourists from Kosovo

The Durres municipality has taken care of more procedures during the summer season, especially foreign tourists coming to the coast of Durres, but also those coming from Kosovo and Macedonia. This, since the City Hall has a decision that envisions the application of a tax on all heavy vehicles, including buses that will want to bring tourists to the beach area or even to the city.
During the survey of Top Channel, we outlined the location of signs along the entire beach route, which prevents the introduction of passenger transport vehicles from vans 8+1 to buses. And for those who want to get in to take passengers to the hotel, taxes range between 5,000 and $15,000, depending on the capacity of the vehicle.
But as if that were not enough, the procedure to obtain permission is more difficult than obtaining a visa. The municipality asks each driver, before entering Durres, to present to the municipality the records of the trade registry, criminal evidence and confirmation that the subject has paid off fiscal obligations.
This confirmation is released by the City Hall itself, and many others, which a bus principal cannot have with him. Then I have to wait for City Hall to give permission and pay the tax. It's all a trap to prevent these vehicles from entering the city.
A year ago, there have also been confrontations with Kosovo bus drivers, bringing tourists to the Durres beach, who have been damaged by the vehicles and threatened by local operators, taxis, to avoid getting on the beach. For this year, the application of this tax has not yet begun.
But if this tax is to be applied, as has been warned, then bus drivers say it is high and they are unclear how they will act.
It is unclear, too, that the Road Police, which, even though the billboards are located, have no orders or instructions on how to handle buses that bring tourists to the coast of Durres.
