The Commission for Rights, the Interests of Communities and for Kthim voted in favour of the proposal that June 24th be Memorial Day for the Egyptian Community and February 15th and 28th for the Serb community.
The chairman of the Commission for Communities and Kthim, Igor Simes, said that this proposal would first be sent to Headship and then to the Parliament for Procedure.
“Veton will draw up the completion project and send it to Headship and then return to the Assembly. I hope it's done as soon as this day is near”, he stressed.
MP Veton Berisha said they have received confirmation that the amendment to this Egyptian community's Memorial Days Law is consistent with the rules, as long as the potential remains less than a month until its footnote, which is June 24th.
“These days are just a day of reminders; there is no rest; they simply have the right to determine a day on which the tasks are held. I think it is the right time to have your support in order to meet a constitutional criteria “, he said.
Berisha has voiced opposition to the holiday on this memorial day, since, according to him, as a community are behind in each area and that would negatively affect this aspect.
MP Danush Ademi said they will try to add a holiday to this festive day for the Egyptian community, or the workers of this community. “Even the media think they should convey the activities and holidays of the Egyptian community, because they don't largely follow “, he added.
