Danish Minister: Dangerous Ramadan, Muslims leave work

A Danish minister known for her powerful anti-immigration views has called on Muslims to leave their jobs during the Ramadan fast period, saying this religious practice is dangerous for all. Integration and Integration Minister Inger Stojberg's comments come after the start of the month [...]
The comments of Imigration and Integration Minister Inger Stoyberg come after the start of the holy month of Ramadan, one of the most honourable celebrations of Islam where Muslims worldwide fast from dawn to evening.
“I want to call on Muslims to leave work during the month of Ramadan to avoid negative consequences for the rest of Danish society. I wonder if a religious order ordering the respect of a 1400-year-old Islamic column is in line with the society and the labour market we have in Denmark in 2018,” She said.
Stoyberg said he feared that fasting could affect their safety and productivity, setting the example of bus drivers who don't drink anything for more than 10 hours.
” This could be dangerous for all of us,” confirmed the Danish minister.
