A court in Milan has ruled that Silvio Berlusconi could enter the race for leadership of Italy, following a 5-year sentence for fraud.
Italian media have reported that the Tribunal has ruled in favour of the demands of 81-year-old lawyers Silvio Berlusconi, who for four mandates had led Italy.
Berlusconi's sentence in 2013, following the discovery of business corrupts, he is unable to compete in public office.
He is known for large circles of corruption and other scandals.
According to Italian media, prosecutors have not yet decided whether to file a complaint with Tribunal's decision.
Berlusconi has served in exchange for prison by helping patients affected by Alzheimer's disease.
