Hundreds of pounds of meat products were destined for sale, but was not allowed by the Inspectorate after it was confirmed to be rotten.
Chief Inspector Ridvan Berisha confirmed that over 700kg that were seized a few days ago had been broken, and they were destroyed.
Because of not meeting transport conditions, since the actual temperature had been 22 degrees, while the meat should be transported to 0 to 6 degrees Celsius1>, he said.
Berisha has praised the police for their work, as, according to him, they are trying to control all the vehicles carrying the meat.
Meanwhile, the owner of a peterium is enjoying the action, for, he says, these non-quality products have contributed to the market's collapse.
Welcome to us, I have good meat at 7 euros per kilogram, while the seized one is another meat, with 3 or 4 euros of kilo”, said the owner of the Biftaker.
But citizens have a criticism of Ferizaj's municipality, though it has been shown most effective in catching rotten meat.
For what reason the Communist doesn't say we took the meat from the firm, so we know where we're buying rotten meat”, a citizen said. But the chief inspector has said that the law does not allow it to indicate where the rotten meat is caught.
Otherwise, the scandal with the rotten meat was first discovered by the Metro newspaper in Mitrovica, which resulted in shares of inspectors in many other municipalities.
