Storms and heavy rain have plagued the southern part of the island of Great Britain, with lightning spectacularly whiteing the sky amid the darkness of an ordinary night.
About 15 thousand lightnings were recorded within 4 hours on Saturday midnight. This led to an airport “Stansted” reported for delays in flights earlier this Sunday, after a self-executive blow temporarily took out the jet fuel system.
The national weather service, “Met Office”, issued a warning in the yellow stage to be cautious of torrential rains and floods along Wales and most of England's territory.
On Sunday morning, storms caused more than 15 feet [25 m] of rain in parts of Wales and Midlands in less than an hour. But that is not all, since Wales and southern England will again face storms and lightning this weekend and Monday, while the weather service warns of possible energy restrictions, or delays of trains and buses.
Many people, despite the severe weather situation, used the opportunity to take pictures and videos at midnight on Saturday, to perpetuate in their photos the spectacle that the electrical storm donated, which was also dubbed “totally insane”, or how could they have been “in the light of a blitz”.
