The 29-member NATO summit is expected to begin around 1300.
NATO is not involved in the attacks, but alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said Saturday through a statement that he supports the attacks.
This step will limit the regime's capacity to conduct chemical weapons attacks against the Syrian people, he said.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected the US and its allies' move, demanding that an emergency meeting be held at the UN Security Council.
He has described this step as <x0 seconds of aggression against the sovereign state that is confronting terrorism”.
