At the session Kosovo Assembly is holding for the Day of Un finders, a debate has been held between Serbian List MP Jasmina Zivkovic and MP from Social Democrat Initiative, Albulen Balaj-Halimaj
MP Zivkovic has said this topic is becoming more political, rather than being guided by humanity.
That's why Balaj-Halimaj reacted, saying the issue of the found is not political, but the story on which the state of Kosovo was built.
This theme has become more political and all is being guided on the opposite side of what is human, and unfortunately today we have many empty banks instead of full. So here's some way these civilians are kidnapped, one side why they're Albanians, the other side why they're Serbs. It's necessary after almost 20 years, and I believe that I understand the families of the dead, that today I don't have to speak as politicians and insult the families of the missing, but they can understand that it's time to ask together that we finally get to know the truth, it's not secret, it's just not true, it's not, it's like, it's just not true.
She said the resolution prepared for this session is unilateral.
To the Serbian MP, Kosovo Social Democrat Initiative MP Albulen Balaj-Halimaj reacted, telling her that this is not political, but is the story on which Kosovo is built.
There's no politics here, there's history here, Kosovo is built on a big and very painful story. You're trying to equate the victims and don't victimize that they're not the same. If you are really interested in working on this topic then you, like the Serbian List, pressure your institutions in Belgrade to help us, and together we find these people”, Halimaj stressed.
MP Zivkovic reacted again, repeating that this topic has become political.
Unfortunately, I'd say again that this issue has been politicised because even after 19 years it's not coming to the truth it can't be interpreted differently than politics. The second issue of separation of victims, for me, is more than discrimination, with much than insults, because kidnapped and extinct victims are completely the same”, she added.
