Kosovo police, through an announcement, have indicated that there is no result in finding the two policemen who were involved on Saturday evening in Kacanik, by car that had fallen on the Lepenc River. They've shown that it's all institutions that are working on finding two police officers. They haven't indicated if there's any other lead in the investigation except the accident and search of their bodies in Lepenc.
According to the announcement, in the accident that took place last night 28.4.2018 about 20:45 minutes on the highway in Elez-Cakanik Han, to the site called the Tower of Smile, where an official Kosovo Police Car in which there were two police officers, for reasons still unknown, had lost control and had fallen off the road from an altitude along the stream of the Lepenc River, from all institutions and units present still continue intensive commitments towards the search of the two police officials.
“As indicated by the KP's top management, at the scene have immediately engaged all relevant units of the Kosovo Police, including co-ordination, co-operation and immediate commitment of the fire unit, the medical team, the KSF units and the announcement of the chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutor in Ferizaj, which has also been launched at the scene of”, the report says.
According to police, an unhurried interest and commitment towards this case have been granted by the RKS Government, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Kosovo Police, KSF and other institutions present where today the Minister of Internal Affairs. Baytush Gashi, accompanied by Prime Minister Chief of Staff. Avni Arifi and U.D. Mr. K. Naim Rexha, are on the scene to take close care of and get to know all the developments about the case.
The heads of institutions during this visit pledged that they will be fully engaged and will not stop for a moment towards the relief and search of the two police officials involved in the accident, who have been in the conduct of official office.
They also stressed that they share concern with family and police officials in this very difficult phase for the fate of the two policemen who were serving the citizens and the country.
At the same time, thanks were to all institutions, units, citizens and police officials who are continuing with activities towards controlling the terrain and the river where the accident occurred.
