Full Posting:
We are surprised at the statements of the president of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Rexhep Tayyip Erdogan, directed at the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj, at a time when the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are handling in detail the actions that led to Kosovo's arrest and deportation to Turkey of six Turkish citizens.
These statements are disturbing, because they come from the leader of a friendly country whose support the state has been constantly witnessed before and throughout the existence of our country. Therefore, such statements do not contribute to strengthening mutual friendship and co-operation, for which our country has been and is dedicated.
The actions of the institutions of the Republic that Kosovo is sovereign and as such cannot be subjected to external pressures. In this direction, even taking responsibility for the carriers of security institutions is internal and discretion of the Kosovo leadership.
The Republic of Kosovo will continue without compromise its European path, strengthening Western and democratic values, offering its co-operation with all those friendly states that want mutual respect reports, including the Republic of Turkey.
