Under the auspices of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is marked April 23rd, a day dedicated to the Turkish community in Kosovo.
Public Administration Minister Mahir Jagcilar, who originally welcomed in Turkish, said this day is not only of this community, but of Kosovo.
“We believe that the day of the Turkish community is also the day of the Republic of Kosovo, because this day stems from Kosovo's independence, 10 years ago when Kosovo's independence was declared, I, and the other MPs, and representatives of the Turkish community, have been eagerly part of the statehood, declaration and signing the declaration of independence. And in this respect we for 10 years are celebrating this holiday with various cultural-artistic, sports, environmental, artistic, publishing books and roundtables in Kosovo in the Turkish community and also relations with states, especially with the Mother State, Republic of Turkey”, he said.
Yagcilar has further cited the progress report to show there are problems in implementing strategies and recommendations concerning communities.
The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said this day testifies to who Kosovo is. According to him, Kosovo and Turkey have good state relations and will preserve them.“Albanians and Turks in Kosovo are not divided, they are linked, they are together, they have been testified in the best way of our lives, so sʹka a case that speaks differently... Kosovo is a small country, there are many challenges, there are many problems as in the economy, as a political one, there is a lot of work ahead of itself, the only way to do things is to be together, to be close to each other, to help us to walk Kosovo, and if Kosovo does not lose”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
Mamsuha Mayor Abdulhadi Krasniqi of the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo has thanked Kosovo institutions for supporting this community. “Prime Minister we are the Turkish community, we are Turks, but we are Kosovars, the Turkish community is the most integrated community for communities in Kosovo, the last years of Kosovo we as a community have given support according to the possibilities behind us, especially the Mamsuza municipality knows both you and all the Turks, and all Kosovo Albanians know of the contribution of the state-building of Kosovo”, he has said.
