What's happening- American bombers near China?

US bombers B-52 were launched from Andersen Air Base to the Pacific US Island of Guam and passed by the South Sea of China this Tuesday.

“Bundarders B-52 have conducted a drill and have passed a transit near Okinawa to hold a joint exercise with F-15C aircraft, before returning to Guam”, it is said in an official US response, adding the bomber's ongoing <x2 Minions are intended to preserve the American Army's readiness. This was just a routine mission”.

But what is presented as a routine exercise in Taiwan media is speculated as a US threat to China, which has added its military presence in Taiwan, as Beijing considers the island self-governed as part of it.

Official Beijing fears a decision by Taiwan President Tsai Ing-Wen to declare independence from China.
