The fair closes April 2018, organised by OEK

Today it has been the last day of the International General Fair “Pristina 20188x2>, organised by the Kosovo Economic Oda (OEK), which has started since April 18th 2018.

Participants at the fair expressed satisfaction with the interest and conditions offered in it.

Refki Jakupi, regional manager of the chocolate factory “Kamila Chocolate”, for KosovaPress has expressed satisfaction with the number of visitors who have expressed interest in their products.

We're very pleased, we've had many visitors. We always support the Chamber of Commerce Fair. There have been visitors from all Balkan regions, from Macedonia, Albania, from Serbia. They're very interested. Our company, 86 percent of its production, exports outside Kosovo, is only 14 percent for Kosovo. Our factory has 100 workers. Our products only know people because we have them at all points in Kosovo. There were also people interested in our firm because they heard about Camila what quality we have”, he said.

He added that they are very satisfied with the conditions offered at this fair, and that they will still participate next year.

From Italy for the first time at the International General Fair “Pristina 2018” has also participated in the company “Weighpack” and “Pietribesi”, where various machinery have been introduced for filling.

Gerta Begaj, a promoter of these two products, has declared that they are pleased with the visitors' interest in their products.

She said this fair has been a good opportunity to promote their products until she stressed that they will continue to participate again in this fair's next organisation.

We have different machines for filling, filling milk, filling up different types of liquids, dust, and gas... We're very happy, there's been a lot of interest since we're here for the first time and there's not much competition, so it's quite satisfying the interest on the part of customers. I believe we'll participate again and there's a lot of good conditions for promotion”, she said.

Over 5 different products at this fair have also been presented by “Elkos Group”. Berat Ujkan, representative of this company, said that thanks to this fair they have exchanged contacts with various regional companies to export their products.

“We as exporter of 2017, in this fair we have participated in 5 our industries, the bag factory and plastic materials, the palome factory, the food factory, the meat factory, as well, our factory in Xrxa that deals with tree and vegetable conservation. The interest of participants has been enormous, and we have also built contact for export to various countries in the region and the world”, Ujcan has declared.

The company's representative “Elkos Group” said the conditions at this fair have been solid.

But not very pleased with the visitors' interest in the fair have been expressed by representatives of the “City” seashell.

Leureta Gashi, the director of sales at the company, said the lack of information for maintaining this fair has also affected the small number of visitors.

She adds that this fair is not doing enough to promote local products.

We've introduced hygienic products produced by us... we produce 330 barcode... We are satisfied to some extent, because there is not much information that is being held, and this may have contributed to very little consumer participation. We plan to participate again, conditions are not very bad, but not enough to support local products”, Gashi said.

Otherwise, 174 companies have participated in the fair, out of them 70 are from Serbia and only one from Albania.

The fair has been open from April 18th to today, while the large presence of Serbian companies at the fair has sparked numerous reactions from business representatives.
