The court's trial against him has left Copperfield in an uncomfortable position, as illusion known as “Lucky $113x1> was discovered on the trial in Las Vegas by his lawyers on Friday, Periscope reports.
British tourist Gavin Cox said it was a Copperfield show for his birthday in 2013 when he was accidentally taken by the audience in an act that wiped him out part of the grand finale.
Benedict Morelli, Cox's lawyer, said in an open statement Friday that his client did not understand what he was into.
Morell added that Cox had never been warned that he could be hurt in the form of illusion and that he would not have participated if he knew.
In that trick, 13 participants were sitting in a cage on stage. Then a curtain was drawn to cover them completely. After a few moments, the curtain had left and the participants were no longer on stage to resurface later from behind the audience.
The sorcerer's lawyers have said that some 55 thousand people were selected to participate in that trick, and no one ever complained.
