About two years after it went into effect, implementation of the Kosovo Ministry of Education, Science and Technology decision (MASHT) has failed, all institutions of education and professional skills to submit to the process of waves of qualifications and institutional accreditation within the 3-year period.
The decision was made in 2016 when Minister of Education, Science and Technology (MASHT) was Edsim Bajrami, writes Koha Ditore today.
Under the decision, these institutions must submit to accreditation for the profiles for which the nationally approved professional standards exist.
Recognition of these institutions should be made by the National Qualification Authority (AKK), which is the institution which operates within the STAT framework.
Experts in this field say the decision has failed to be implemented. As a result, the severing of the official binding of the National Qualification Frame (KKK) with the European Framework of Qualification (KEK) is threatened.
