Membership in the United Nations, forming the military, as well as establishing the Association of Serb majority municipalities must be three main issues under the final Kosovo-Serbia agreement, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
So said Balkan Affairs expert Daniel Serwer, in an interview given “Cohae Ditore”. The American diplomat has demanded that the idea of dividing or exchanging territories be avoided under any circumstances.
Kosovo must make clear that there is no division. And seek membership in the United Nations as well as founding the military and making certain restrictions... Kosovo must do something to establish the Association of Serb majority municipalities, because it is part of the Ahtisaari Plan”, Serwer, professor at the “Johns Hopkins” university in Washington, has stressed.
According to him, Kosovo should use the change of strategic environment in the Balkans. While as a positive and opportunity to end the problem once and for all, Serwer considers the condition the European Union has imposed on Serbia, which is the legally binding agreement.
