137 years from the heroic fall of Mic Sokooli

Mitch Sokoli was born in 1839 in Fang, Bujan, Tropoje, and fell in81. He was a prominent fighter of the Prizren Albanian League, the hero of the People.

Mitch Sokoli comes from a family of patriots. He led major union combat units in many battles. It was marked for strategy, readiness and bravery. He took an active part in the fighting in Skopje, Prizren, Ferizaj, Gjilan, in Gjakova against Mehmet Ali Pasha, was spotted in the match against Montenegrin aggressors, fought at the Gucia Plav in Hot, Gruda, Tuz. Then on the Kosovo plain in the great Battle of Zoom, Carraleva, and recently on Sliva's one from which and heroically fell, writes the KP.

At Sliva's battle in the vicinity of Shtime, at (April 1881) against Dervis Pasha's Ottoman forces committed a rare act of bravery, breast-feeding the enemy's ball and heroicly falling into the battlefield, encouraging all other warriors to continue the war with bravery and pride.

Mici fell heroicly at age 42, leaving behind his wife and two children, a boy and a daughter. More than a century later, a grandson continued where Mici left him, where the Albanian League stopped him. He had inherited from Mitch's genes bravery and military ingenuity. Mic Sokooli's grandson killed himself fighting for national unity and is called Tahir Sinan.

Many events and warriors of the Age of the Albanian League of Prizren were perpetuated through the historical epic, but Mic Sokoli, leader of Krasniqi, son of Sokol Rama from the Great Mountain, takes first place. Mitz's unique heroism turned into legend, and songs to echo through years reaching us.
