She told Klan Kosovo how she has accomplished this difficult task, which she now boasts.
She had been chairman of the Commission for Solidarity two decades ago, when she also secured coffins for the lifeless bodies of the Jashari family, who were killed on 5.6 and 7 March 1998 by Serb forces.
“With all the structures of political and humanitarian parties, we were mobilised with the call President Ibrahim Rugova made to us and the communication of academics, so that we can provide the coffins so that the burial can be done the most dignified”, she says.
Saraci, who speaks with pride about his work, relates how coffins were provided within 24 hours, thanks to the commitment of all citizens.
She, along with Kemeel Hajdaragen, was driving in a truck to Prekazi, as far back as a delegation was accompanied by Fatmir Sejdiu, Rama Bouja, Edi Shukriu, and their driver, Imer Recica.
Once handed over the coffins, the Serbian Army had ordered them to leave Prekazi.
Me and Hajdaraga even beat us. They asked us where we sent the coffins, and we were forced to tell them where we agreed with the Red Cross and the international”.
Thus, on March 10, 1998, the coffins had reached their destination, where the lifeless Yasar bodies of Yashars were established.
There were also internationals and citizens present who contributed to the burial of Jashars.
