Police provide details on drug capture at Merdare

Kosovo police spokesman Daut Hoxha said that during the realisation of a police operation, he has banned a suspicious car and, after the search, found and confiscated considerable amounts of suspected narcotics substance of marijuana.

Kosovo's “Police, respectively, against a drug unit, following continued commitments in the investigative and operational roads, in co-operation with the relevant units, this afternoon on the 28.03.18th, in Merdare, at the emergence of the Republic of Kosovo for Serbia, during the implementation of a police operation has stopped a suspicious vehicle and after detailed control of competent units and customs units, has found and seized substantial amounts of the alleged narcotics of the marijuana type. The amount of drugs will be exacted after the final measurement, however, according to initial estimates there are about 27kg of confiscated drugs. Two people suspected of being involved in the case have been arrested by police, and other actions based on legal procedures are under way. Police remain committed to fighting all negative phenomena in the country, and in particular, the noncompromis war will be evolved against narcotics trafficking”, Hoxha told away about the Kosova Clan.
