The Justice Ministry has finalised the draft on Tuesday with changes to the Penal Code, which contains stricter penalties for criminal acts involving corruption and terrorism. In addition, prison sentences, along with fines, have been envisioned for the conflict of interest, and Koha Ditore writes today.
The draft also contains new provisions involving prevention, investigation, prosecution and trial of organised crime and corruption.
These include provisions about money laundering and financial crime, as well as the seizure and return of assets. Then, even for the prevention, investigation, and pursuit of human trafficking, including sexual exploitation of children.
