Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has for the first time prepared publication “Energy efficiency in Kosovo” for 2011-2016.
The aim of this publication is to present energy efficiency indicators for the sectors of industry and family economies, the economy-x reports.
Total primary energy output has been rising during 2011-2016 of 1,793 At 2,010 mtoe around 12.12% (or 2.4% per year).
Production had a tendency to decrease by 2014 (the largest rate was in 2014), and growth began in 2015, and in 2016 it reached 2,01 Mtoe.
Oil prices between 2011 and 2016 have marked gradual reductions year-on-year, where in 2011 the price for one litre of oil was 1.24 euros per l; and in 2016, the price per litre of oil was 0.93 euros per l, or we have a reduction of oil prices for about 25%.
Gas prices between 2011 and 2016 have also marked gradual reductions year-on-year, where in 2011 the price of one litre of gasoline was 1.24 euros per l; and in 2016 the price for litre was 0.98 euros per l, which drops a gas price of around 21%.
BPV's primary production intensity and final intensity rose in 2016, compared to 2011 from 12.12% to 11.52%, respectively.
