These comments, the head of the MZHE did so today after meeting with management of energy sector companies, KEK, COSTT, KESCO and Energy Regulatory, whose goal was to discuss problems in this sector and to increase the responsibilities of operators for power supply to citizens.
“Energy supply situation today is best due to the return of the B2 block of TC Kosova B, but our discussions had focus on what each institution should do in such cases and make sure that we do not have energy reductions for citizens”, Luka said.
He said Kosovo has problems providing energy from import in cases where energy demand increases, due to problems caused by Serbia's Transmission Operator, but also due to the lack of adequate planning by KESCO, and this has caused reductions in the country, so he appealed more responsibility than the latter.
In this case, the minister stressed that what they agreed to at this meeting is also the fact that reductions should be made proportionally for the entire territory of Kosovo, including the north.
As for the problems with Serbia, Luka said negotiations have intensified with the aim of KOSTT membership in ENTSOE, and voiced hope that this process will be completed by June of this year.
While, Energy Regulatory Office Board Chairman Arsim Janova said this institution is conducting monitoring of all system operators and warned that Z The RRE will act on the legal mandate.
The law envisions the measure is up to 10 percent of the ticket operator's revenues. But, I mean, there are different measures that will be considered in Bord. We do our job as ZERE”, Janova said.
