If you don't sign it, Petkovski says there are other options. Petkovski was chairman of the Assembly in 1997 when he signed the Law on Minority Symbols, since then Kiro Gligorov was abroad.
The signing in place of Gligorov was later rejected by the Constitutional Court, viewing as unconstitutional the actions Petkovski had taken at the time.
