Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj has voiced optimism that within this week the issue of demarcation will be closed, though he has not ruled it out next week.
“Since last week we have made efforts to close the demarcation this week. It is possible that the deal will be Friday, and I hope that by Friday we will be ready to vote. But what I'm saying is that there's no time for this issue to be postponed for the fact that they shouldn't lose their step towards liberalisation and other prospects”, Limaj has declared in a conversation for the newspaper “Voice”.
He has further said that in this direction he is working for a broad political consensus.
“As you know, we've been working hard these months to have a consensus as broad as possible with all political forces. Last week has been good news for the country that Initiative, The PDK, the LDK and AAK have almost reached consensus to move towards Demarket vote”, he added.
Meanwhile, as for the Serbian List Limaj has said no political party has set conditions to support the Agreement.
There is no political group that has set conditions. At least not where I was and I didn't hear any of the political groups set conditions and I expect the demarcation to be voted. Let's hurry up because we don't have much time and it should be as soon as this issue closes”, the Kosovo Government's number two has underlined.
