Macedonia's deputy prime minister, who comes from the ranks of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), Hazbi Lika, has said that no one can block the Law for Use of Languages in this state, part of which is also officialising the Albanian language.
In an interview for the newspaper “The new age”, he has called on President Gjorge Ivanov to reflect on the law formalising Albanian.
Lika has said that, despite the president's stance, no other institution in Macedonia can prevent the empowering of this law.
He has suggested that even if the president does not decree this law according to procedure, it is empowered without decree.
Deputy Prime Minister Lika has stressed that the Law for Languages has been a need and a right that is not possible for the Albanians of Macedonia.
