Such a move has prompted the reaction of both the opposition and the parents. For the LDK such an act is meaningless, because there are enough halls in the capital where the ceremony to honour this day could be held, writes “Koha Ditore” today.
Agim Gashi, the head of the LDK parliamentary group in Pristina's Municipal Assembly, has said he himself has expressed indignation with this move and that his reaction will manifest by boycotting this ceremony.
The reaction will be expressed by not participating in that ceremony. I was invited by the service of the relevant Directorate, but neither on Monday do I attend, nor on Wednesday will I attend”, Gashi said.
He has clarified that there is nothing against Medresa, but that the character of secular school should be preserved and such ceremonies should be organized in halls that do not represent religious overtones.
