KEDS invests in Peja's Raushiq

Under the master investment plan, KEDS has also invested in the village of Raushiq in the Peja municipality. Residents have benefited new concrete pillars, new tratrusions and new and qualitative conveyors. The quality of electricity has improved and benefited 174 family and business economies. 157 new concrete pillars have been placed [...]
There are 157 new concrete pillars for lower tension, 36 for medium tension, 5 thousand and 500 metres of low-tense cables, and 1,000m new cables for medium tension. KEDS spokesman Viktor Buzhala has spoken of these investments.
This investment shows KEDS' commitment to boost quality of services for all citizens across Kosovo. Investment intensity will not stop this year either, rather it will increase. In all areas where it is invested, the network is in the highest standards. Cutting off from environmental factors, especially weather factors, in these locations belongs to the past. So, the security of the power supply has significantly increased”, Buzhala said.
Investments are constantly and growing steadily.
For investing in Raushiq, Buzhala said that within the framework of this project there has been a rose and two new trafs and that all old pillars, which had previously presented problems, have been removed.
The old rose has been replaced with a new 400 kVA rose. Two new trafos have also been introduced, one 250 kVA and the other 160kVA. Also, the old wooden pillars have been replaced by new concrete pillars and the total removal of naked, uninsulated carriers who have been dangerous to residents. They have been replaced with isolated bystech cables where the risk rate is zero”, Buzhala said.
174 family and business economies have benefited directly. The quality of supply has increased and risk has been averted, and the impact of losses has been enormous.
Among the 174 beneficiaries from this KED project is Raje Vesela. Vesela says what's worked is seen. “Yes, on the pole it's very true, new ones are put and you see, so are the traphos. This has been very necessary, and we expect the rest of this side of Raushqi to benefit investment from KED. They perform the function well, they have done well to divide with trafo”, says Vesela.
Rexhep Cocaj from Raushiqi also says the investment is visible in terms of pillars, networks and tratrusions. The “Ruture has been brought along with new pillars and tratrusions. It is generally invested because there was no investment at all”, Cocaj said.
The distribution Network Development Plan is a master plan of KEDS that envisions investing 300m euros in Kosovo's electricity distribution network by 2025. Through this master plan KED learns to renew the electricity network and make it similar to the electrical networks of developed European countries.
