Levels of the Batlava River rise
The sudden formation of snow and rainfall have caused the rise in water level and the flow of rivers and streams, causing flooding in some communities in the Podujevo municipality. Until Sunday the level of water has dropped across all rivers, due to the huge discharge of water from Lake Batlava, the level of the Batlava River has been raised, which has caused flooding in several villages”, Podujevo municipal officials have said through a media communique.
The comments caused on Saturday have also caused water to penetrate the courtyards and houses in a city suburb and in some villages. Despite the huge volume of water, which has caused the flow of rivers and streams from the beds, over the weekend, there are no municipalities or neighbourhoods blocked in the Podujevo municipality”
