Adrian Lamo, a computer hacker, known for the information he brought to light, causing Chelsea Manning to be arrested, died at the age of 37.

In a conversation in conversation, Manning confessed to Lamos some of the military's secret materials that Wikipedia had sent him.

Wikipedia published a video of an American helicopter hitting and killing seven people, including a journalist working for Reuters news agency.

Lamo's death is confirmed by the BBC, but has not yet been made public.

On Facebook, his father Mario wrote: “With a lot of sadness and a broken heart I have to inform all of Adrian's friends that he died. A bright mind and a compassionate soul has fled. He was my dear son. ”

The Lamo record as hacker includes some high profile targets like Microsoft and The New York Times.

In 2011 Lamo spoke to the newspaper “The Guardian” on his decision to “-design Manning” as the only thing to do.

It's not like I wanted to do that, but otherwise it would be my fault.

Lamo said there would be eternal apologies if Manning were subject to a long trial.

Manning, known at the time as Bradley Manning, was sentenced to 35 years in prison, but then Barack Obama changed her sentence and she was released in May 2017.

Now she expects to become mayor of Maryland, her native state.

Wikipedia founder Julian Assang on Friday described Lamon as a small “back and traitor of basic human values. ”
