According to the media announcement from this meeting, Minister Hasani agreed with Mantovanelli to start living the draft credit with the World Bank “Reducing competitiveness and export readiness”.
This loan amounts to 14.3m euros, to be financed by the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group, which is a fund for countries with great development needs.
The World Bank loan will affect three key components: Capital investments in the technical labs of the National Quality Infrastructure, the Reform of Inspections in Kosovo, as well as support grants for Kosovo export companies.
Minister Hasani briefed the World Bank's director for Kosovo, Mantovanelli, on how the loan will be experienced and assured that there will be full transparency of the process.
You will have full support and there will be no obstacles or neglect in implementing the project. Also, the process will be very transparent and accounteering”, Hasani said.
It becomes known that they also discussed the sweeping reforms of the inspection system, considered a very important project.
The ministry's objectives, through a 14.3m-euro loan, were also unveiled, to have concrete actions in improving three areas, where it is pre-arranged for the loan to be implemented.
Mantovanelli said it's time to start implementing the loan, which, according to him, MTI has worked hard to get all deadlines set.
This is when we can start implementing the loan. Hopefully we will pass this target”, Mantovanelli said.
The loan will help the Kosovar Agency of Metrology, Standardisation Agency and the Accreditment Directorate to qualify to sign agreements for recognition with the International Committee of Weight and Massacres and the International Forum for Co-operation-Accreditment of Laborizers.
