A group of U.S. lawmakers have called for a dialogue strategy with Moscow. They think the issue is a very urgent “” following Russia's president's statements about the discovery of a number of nuclear weapons.
“A strategic dialog The US-Russia is more urgent after President Putin's public speech on March 1st, when he referred to Russia as developing nuclear weapons, including a cruise missile and a nuclear bomber underwater,” is said in a letter signed by US senators Edward Yu. Markey (D-MA), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.
The letter addressed to US Secretary Rex Tillerson was published Thursday. Senators signed this statement because countries have a series of fundamental disputes, including Russian intervention in the 2016 elections held in the US, the annexation of Crime, as well as the need for a table dialogue between Moscow and Washington.
Because of these policy divisions, not all of them... The United States must urgently engage with Russia to avoid miscalculations and reduce the likelihood of conflict. ”
Lawmakers are concerned about the new Russian nuclear weapons inside, which are not covered by the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, known as START.
The United States has repeatedly accused Russia of developing the missile system, which is out of agreement regulations./Periscopi/
