American congressionalist Elliot L. Engel has welcomed ratification of the border demarcation agreement, while praising that Kosovo deserves the same fair treatment as other countries currently having visa liberalisation and should be granted this status without unnecessary delays.
“I send my congratulations to the people of Kosovo for the approval of Parliament's Agreement on the border with Montenegro. This is an important day in Kosovo's relations with its neighbour, Montenegro”, Engel has said.
He has called on the European Union, which without delay is granted this visa liberalisation status.
This is also a huge step towards visa liberalisation with the European Union. I call on our friends in the EU to do what is needed to achieve that goal. Kosovo deserves the same fair treatment as other countries that now have visa liberalisation, and should be granted this status without unnecessary delay”, says Albanian friend Eliot L. Engel.
