The head of the Republic of Macedonia's Parliament, Talat Xhaferi, through a statement has informed the opinion of, as it says, transparency of the language review process, which is currently in third-read parliamentary procedure, broadcasts Klan Kosova.
As the cabinet of Chief Parliamentary Xhaferi informs, all amendments have been archived, processed and forwarded to e-parliament, and that the Assembly service has acted and acts within its competencies and tasks until the overall conclusion of the process.
Meanwhile, all amendments are already translated by translation sector service, which works within the framework of the Republic of Macedonia's Parliament.
Taking into account the large number of amendments, it is further said in the announcement, the same must be reviewed and prosecuted according to regulations for the work of the Parliament, while the law will then be considered.
We remember that on January 11th, the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia adopted the Law for Use of Languages. Under this law, it is predicted that in all state organs of the country, besides Macedonian language and writing, the official language is also the language spoken by 20 percent of Macedonia's citizens and its writing, in this case the Albanian language.
Six days later the president of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, in an address to the opinion said he has decided not to decree the adoption of the Law with the claim that it was approved without public and scientific debate, as well as without the involvement of opposition, academics and experts.
The law in question has already returned to third-read parliamentary procedure, however, the opposition party V The MRO-DPMNE provided 35 thousand amendments with the reasoning that they want to boost awareness of the law's conduct by consensus.
