In a video downloaded on YouTube, the woman appears to be standing on a block and waving her headscarf in Tehran Revolution Square.
Police then reach and arrest the woman, while the people around them shout: “leave him alone”.
There have been similar protests in Tehran.
The woman who staged the first such protest on December 27th has become a symbol of challenging the strict dress code in Iran.
It's now called “Revolutiony Street Girl”
After her protest, several other women have been arrested, who have expressed dissatisfaction with the mandatory veil.
The Islamic dress code has become binding in Iran after the 1979 revolution.
Morals police are constantly around women who don't cover their heads in public.
