However, only two court hearings have been held so far. Even after most activists were detained in 2016 and brought from prison to court, Koha Ditore writes today.
These days, “Koha Ditore” has learned that the judge who has been handling this case has been changed, and a new judge has been appointed, meaning that the whole process has returned to the beginning, as the Criminal Procedure Code predicts.
Since the last session, held nearly two years ago, the court has no longer scheduled a new session. The reasons have not been disclosed, but the court has announced the paper that a session is scheduled for May.
Given the practice and unwillingness of activists to respond to the tribunal's invitation so far, the likelihood of normal development of this process is minimal.
Now, since dozens of process hearings have failed in this trial process from the start, the chances for prescribing are real.
VV activists are accused of group participation, and according to Penal Code, this work is punishable for up to five years, meaning that the prescription will occur 10 years later.
