Volcanans that can kill 100 million people

A magma reservoir hidden behind an underwater volcanic crater can have catastrophic consequences for civilization, where Japanese scientists believe it can kill as many as 100 million people. Experts at the Core University's Ocean Exploration Centre (KOBEC) said a giant magma or a large crater exists on the Japanese archipelago.
The crater measuring 32 cubic kilometers is said to be the largest of its kind and the result of an underwater explosion, reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.
One has happened 7, 300 years ago, experts report.
Situated between Pacific and the Oceanic Sea Plaques and Japan is a hearth of seismic activity in which scientists have updated the methods of predicting natural disasters.
The KOBEC team has conducted detailed surveys of the area and has published their findings in the Scientific Reports.
Situated south of Kyushu, the Kikai magma has very small chances of the explosion over the next 100 years, KoBEC reports.
“Although the probability of a major magma explosion hitting the Japanese Archipelago is 1 per cent in the next 100 years, it is estimated that the death toll could rise to about 100 million in the worst case --” said Professor Yoshiuki Tatsumi, head of the KOBEC./Periscopi/
