Thaci dislikes Swiss television question for new political generation

“That Kosovo is a failed state, that's what Sputnik and Belgrade represent. But the reality of joint investments in Kosovo is quite different. Kosovo has moved ahead, is in the right direction, has scored 115 international recognitions, has been membered in about 200 international organisations, has maintained the growth trend -- 4% -- in the past ten years. Kosovo will be part of all Euro-Atlantic structures”, he added.

According to him, there have been challenges over these ten years, which, like all other countries in transition, Kosovo will pass.

Commenting on the need for the creation of a new generation of politicians, Thaci has said that Kosovo is guided by people elected by the free vote of citizens, through a fair, free, democratic electoral process, of higher international standards, of a generation of freedom and independence, of statehood, of clear Euro-Atlantic vision.

“Who leads Kosovo, decides citizens' votes. New genes are involved, have an active role, have a dynamic role, have a very affirmative and influential role, have a role in policy making, but also in development and integration processes. We are very proud to be the youngest Europeans, with new ideas, genetics and an extraordinary opportunity we will use as we gain the right to visa liberalisation”, he added, broadcasts the KP.

He has also been asked about Kosovo's European future, saying Kosovo will be very soon part of NATO, as well as part of the European Union. I am aware that to be part of the European Union, we still need work. It's a slow process, not a fast one. All democratic criteria must be implemented, whether we are political, economic, legislation”, he has warned of Swiss public television.

He has said Kosovo has expected more from the EU strategy, presented by President Juncker. According to him, Kosovo has only one path, it is the will of the country's citizens, it is the country's leaders' integration into the European Union.
