Thaci for demarcation: People we are, there may be a mistake.

For me as president, also for Kosovo, the Davos Conference was an additional opportunity to present Kosovo's achievements. We were able to hear the opinions of Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Emmanuel Macron, but also President of the United States Donald Trump. In bilateral contacts, I have met with the conference chief, with Croatia's prime minister, the president of Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, to discuss the future of the Balkans. I even talked to Commissioner Johannes Hahn. He demanded that Kosovo be treated as all countries in the region. President Jean-Claude Juncker's visit is a confirmation that this region has a European future”.

If we cross demarcation in the coming weeks and days, then Kosovo will be treated as other countries and the visa liberalisation issue will be only procedural aspects. Crossing the demarcation will also affect the creation of European unity for Kosovo's European future”.

Kosovo has implemented many criteria for visa liberalisation. Fighting crime and corruption is continuing and will continue in the future. Kosovo and Serbia have pledged to start negotiations this year. But even with Montenegro we have no problems. I believe that at the moment of the demarcation vote, there will be an opportunity to review an evental error in Julep or Chuckorr, by joint commissions, because people are and can be mistaken”.
