One study has found that increased depression begins in the first year after skin conditions are diagnosed.
Almost 1 in 5 people with acne have been depressed, and 1 in 10 has lost their jobs, according to one study, reports “Daily Mail”, Periscope broadcast.
The new study has analysed more than 134,000 Britons and has found 63 percent of them to be marked by depression. The age of participants has been seven to 50 years old.
According to them, acne affects women more than men.
The leading author of the study, Dr. Isabelle Vallerand of the University of Calgary in Canada, said “Akent should have a major effect on the self-esteem of patients living in this situation. ”/Periscopi/
