Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, visited a family that received full economic assistance through the new scheme.
Until yesterday I received $28,000, and today with the new aid I get 90 thousand, plus compensation”, the family head said.
Citing the new scheme an overhaul of the list of those who benefited by not meriting it, the prime minister said that control of any subject on taxes, mortgages, transportation, and so that those who profit it are disqualified.
There is a minimal part, which is the megament of the system's error, which we're verifying and all those who, after verification, will result, not because of abuse, but of the system, will re-integrate”, Rama said.
Minister Manastirliu explained what the role of local government will be in the process.
“The working groups of social administrators of municipalities, Social Service inspectors and Prefectures are going to each family, even those who received assistance, verifying every family”, Manastirliu said.
Economic assistance is awarded to beneficiaries for a 5-year term and combined with social services.
