(8 years ago)At the request of the Municipal Education Directorate, the Directorate for Capital Investment and contract Management has assigned a commission consisting of 3 construction engineers to visit the “Yllkas” residence in the Vellusha district, due to the fact that some cracks have been observed in the facility. During the checkup, engineers have noticed that this object is already highly damaged and poses a danger to children and nest staff. On parts of the foundation, marked cracks have been observed, while cracks are even deeper within the object and are horizontal, proving that the foundation of the object “” slept”. One of the children's rooms has moved floor tiles. Therefore, the commission consisting of three construction engineers has estimated that: “Dumptions in this facility are extremely large, so we propose that emergency measures be taken as children's preventation and personnel with the aim of avoiding the eventual consequences”.
Based on this assessment of the commission, the Pristina municipality has decided to remove children and staff from that nest, and move temporarily to other nests, to consult with parents and interest groups.
The “YKet” nesting facility will be destroyed, and a new nursery will be built in this neighborhood.
