Patients addressing the QKUK, the Oncology Clinic, respectively, will be offered 24-hour services. That's after today's promotion of the 24-hour service, for curative patients at KKUK's Oncology Clinic.
Health Minister Uran Ismaili said that services for patients are advancing more and more every day.
According to him, with such services that the Oncology Clinic now offers, patients will not need to address private clinics for such services.
“Today, we have a 24-hour service that enables our patients not to seek interventions or services in other private hospitals, and this creates a greater cost to them. I was just notified by the principal, that a patient who had been designated, to go to a private hospital, is registered here to come on Saturday and finish it. So it's a direct measure that directly affects the lives of our citizen. These haven't completed the services, and here today they pledge to improve and there will still be other services and we will be the model for all Kosovo health. We'll be close to citizens, improve the supply of drugs, supply and saving materials, equipment and on the other side and on the personal medical side. It's a start we haven't finished yet”, he said.
He said that in the future he has planned to deploy in SSHUK's spaces, in order to get as close as possible the problems they face.
It's an attempt by me and the SSHUK board, we've decided to settle one day in SSHUK's space, in the area where SSHKUK's board is, to get closer to SSHUK's problems and to know that support is very direct. Health in Kosovo has long been lagging. We don't have time to lose, and whoever is able to mobilise and be closer we will support and we will be close to them”, he said.
Oncology Clinic Director Ekrem Hyseni said this clinic will now provide services to patients, which it has so far.
From today this clinic will offer treatment with protocol 24,48 and 72 hours. I'm going to start treating 3-day, 5-day protocols that are different from what I've mentioned above. We will be able to manage the side effects of much better treatment, services on weekends will be offered. And we're also offering the impossible travel to the service and the patients of radio therapy. These services haven't completed the services we need, I hope that very soon even the lift service with an extra object will probably begin. We need some time and staff, but this will also be realised”, he said.
SSHUK task leader Basri Sejdiu said this is a big day for this institution.
<x0).Puna 24 hours at the Oncology institute, accounting for being serious patients, patients who have less hope of others. Then consider it a great day for them and for institutions. Patients who couldn't handle 24 hours, The weekends and the beginning of the 24-hour service will be addressed. We're also waiting for 24-hour services, so that patients can easily have treatment in public institutions and that they will be benefiting the most”, he said./S. Bird/
