The Mediterranean Sea in Norway is not part of those with calm waters, and much more, rocky terrain has caused dozens of incidents throughout history.
And to avoid travel to the turbulent waters of this sea and incidents of reefs, Norway has approved the plan to build the first boat tunnel to be on the Stad Peninsula.
It is a tunnel that measures a few miles [1.7 km] in length, a height of 37 feet [37 m], and a 15 - foot [26.5 m] wide. The cost of its implementation is estimated at $335m.
Authorities say its implementation fully justifys the cost, as it will not only avoid the voyage of cargo ships and passengers across the dangerous waters of the Stadhave Sea, but will also reduce transportation costs by several times, coming directly out of the Kidepollen at Modeforgiden. /topchannel/
