Johnson request: Help us find compromise with Albanians

But recently it has become known that Vuciq has asked Johnson to help by urging Kosovo Albanians to be ready for real solutions, which have to do with compromise.

“In terms of relations with Pristina, we have different views. The United States has recognised the unilateral declaration of independence, and we have talked about it, and our expectations, on this 10th anniversary of this independence, are for things to be resolved by compromise. Serbia is ready for that, but both sides must be for compromise because one side should not have enjoyed the other side, not”, Vuciq has said.

He also said Johnson spoke of US support for Serbia's European road, but that the main issue remains the solution to relations between Pristina and Belgrade.

A compromise cannot exist if one side is absolutely satisfied and the other dissatisfied. We are open for talks. For our people it is important that we reach a just solution for our children and the future of Serbia”, Vuciq has added.

Vuciq has also indicated that among the topics he has discussed with the US senator were: bilateral relations, the situation in the region, relations between Pristina and Belgrade and Serbia's support on its path to the EU. /Indesksonline/
