This figure is smaller than that of 2016 and 2015, when the illegal logging figures reached over 15,000 cubic feet [15,000,000 cu m]. This declining trend, according to the APK, comes as a result of paperwork and fines that this agency pronounces.
Forest Agency Director Faruk Bojaxhi has said that more than 4 thousand anti-verbal and criminal sheets have been raised by the institution leading him, during 2017 alone.
Kosovo's “Forest Agency through the Directorate of Inspectorate has set up 127 anti-vadiator sheets and 22 criminal presentations. While the leaflets raised by forest guards are 2934 countervases and 1240 criminal”, he indicated.
