The recent Kosovo Serb politician, Oliver Ivanovic's mother-in-law, in Mitrovica, has been stoned in the early hours of the morning, reports media.
On Thursday morning, an unknown person has shot a stone in the early hours of the morning window of the house of Nadezda Cvetniq, the mother of Oliver Ivanovic's first wife, who was killed in Mitrovica last month, local media reported. According to the TV station TV Most, Cvetnic's daughter Marina Ivanovic, confirmed that the incident occurred shortly after midnight, writes Kalxo.com.
Ivanovic said that her mother and brother, who were inside the house at the time, were scared and do not know what the reason for the attack might have been.
Oliver Ivanovic, head of a Kosovo Serb party called Freedom, Democracy and Justice, was shot in front of his office on January 16th and died later in the hospital.
His murder has been widely condemned by EU, Serbian and Kosovo officials.
He was seen as a moderate politician in Kosovo supporting co-existence between the Serb minority and the Albanian majority.
However, he was being retriald for ordering the 1999 murder of Kosovo Albanians during the Kosovo war for independence. He pleaded innocent.
Marina Ivanovic was Oliver Ivanovic's first wife. The house that was targeted was near the place where Ivanoviqi was shot.
