The country's first comments were made at a day conference organised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology ( MAST, with the theme “Education, key to facing extremism and online radicalism”.

Haradinaj said school institutions are in battle for the fight against extremism and radicalism of the country's young.

He voiced confidence that local institutions will be united and will work with all instruments to say stop this phenomenon in Kosovo.

Kosovo's “goal is stop cutting down the arrival, taking our children once is late if we don't do it in time for this reason the school institution, education as a whole is where the battle is now being fought are the educators, but not only they're all us... We can't afford to let this happen. We're not going to let anyone who made peace with this is agreeing that his child will have that fate, but one place we'll be together, we'll be unique, we'll be determined not to allow this, we'll find all those roads, all those possibilities, all those instruments, all those necessary tools that don't happen to Kosovo “, he said.

The head of the country's executive said how they are working in time to protect children from any bad exposure from drugs, alcohol or even extremism.

While, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqi said violent extremism and radicalism continue to remain a disturbing phenomenon in Kosovo.

He said that through a strategy for preventing extremism and radicalism, it is part of which August has managed to improve the situation in the awareness of students and parents of the dangers of these phenomena.

One of the key points that the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has taken steps in this part of this strategy is the flexibility of curriculums for the subject against extremism and radicalism, the training for preventing negative phenomena, including violent extremism, the dangers that come from the internet covered with editorial material, and the relevant guide for preventing this phenomenon from occurring through education at”, he said.

According to Bytyqi, co-operation with the institutions responsible for the issue is important for fighting extremism and radicalism.

Collen Hyland, deputy ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, said the American Embassy strongly supports Kosovo's efforts to protect young people from radicalism and violent extremism.

According to her, Kosovo's education sector should shift its focus towards teaching young people critical thinking, because they enable them to better evaluate information.

It suggests that critical thinking affects solving other problems in the economy and leadership.

A particular emphasis on today's event, shifting the focus on Kosovo's education sector towards learning critical thinking, is an essential element that equips new minds with the means to ultimately resist radical communication. Critical thinking skills enable the best appreciation of the information they receive, formulation and asking important questions, knowing mistakes and reasoning, cooperating with their peers, and questioning all assumptions. These capabilities will not only help the youth become less sensitive to terrorism and online radicalisation. Critical thinking will prepare young people to be the solvers of Kosovo's problems for future in economy and leadership”, He said.

According to her, the US Embassy strongly supports the Kosovo government for planning educational programmes to combat these disturbing phenomena.

Part of this table was Jan Braathu, head of the O Mission The SEU in Kosovo, which said 83 per cent of Kosovo's population are internet users and this is great exposure to dangerous messages of radicalism and extremism.

He has praised Kosovo institutions for the results that have shown implementation of the Strategy and Action Plan 2015-2020 to prevent radicalism and violent radicalism.

These impressive data provide a single indication of a wonderful internet reading in Kosovo of the people of Kosovo, but also a great exposure to dangerous messages, radicalism and extremism. Let me say that the efforts undertaken so far by Kosovo institutions to implement the Strategy and Action Plan 2015-2020 to prevent radicalism and violent radicalism leading to terrorism are to be highly valued. In fact, the assessment of the implementation of this strategy shows that about 63% of Strategic and Action Plan activities have been implemented successfully, He said.
