Why didn't Fan Noley ever come back to Albania?

You and other old men will be trapped, the Holy Land never steps on, Slaves, slave sons you deserve, that freedom of sondon. (Fen S.Noli. “
Fan Noli's work, his contribution to Albania's independence, the establishment of the Albanian Autoceal Orthodox Church, Albanian culture and literature, everyone would think, that the great exile of 1924, immediately after World War II and Albania's liberation, would return to its place, to the peedestal made ready for it, and with crowns on top.
Much has been written about the possibility and possibility of restoring “Moisit” into “Holy Land”, and yet, the question “because Noley never came to Albania?” continues to repeat itself.
He sees the good and the desire to see his homeland and come to Albania in dozens of his letters with friends, fellow countrymen and in conversation with friends and friends.
And here, from official Albania, the new post-war rulers, did they really want Noley to return to Albania?
The beginning seems too idyllic.
In a letter sent to Fan Noley on August 27, 1945, Seyfull Malshova wrote: “Hirs, among other things! Enver Hoxha, me and all Albania are in mind, that your arrival to Albania would be a great destiny for Albania. So not only would your entire patriotic past be crowned, but our country would have in today's situation a great moral and political help...
Soon, perhaps, by the end of October, we will have elections for the Foundation Convention. It would be nice to come to Albania on this occasion, even in advance...” (Nasho Yorgaki. Fan S.Noli. Fan Noley's letter. The printing house “Eric”, Tirana, 2012, Page 389.
These letters, Noley, answered on October 3, 1945: I was very pleased to receive your hot and generous message as well as my friend and colleague's letter, Seyfulla Malsova. Meanwhile, just a month later on September 25, 1945, is Enver Hoxha himself, who, through a letter sent to Noley, proposes to put his name on the candidate list for elections in the Constitutional Assembly that took place on December 2, 1945. (Right there. Page 392.
I'd love to be there with you, but I can't today, because travel is limited, except there are other obstacles...
I could pay you a visit after Easter; so I'd see my old friends again. I have a lot of reasons that prevent me from installing candidacy in Albania.” (Right there. Page 175)
Requests and invitations for Noley to come to Albania in the first few years are numerous and varied.
At the First Conference of the League of Writers and Artists of Albania, on October 7, 1945, “Nol was unanimously elected “Honorary Chairman of the League”, while his friend, Seyfulla Malshova, was elected head of the League Steering Committee; Vice-President-Professor Alexander Juvani”
When I went to New York to the annual meetings of the United Nations Assembly, Enver Hoxha ordered me to say hello to Fan Noley. ”,- writes in his book Behar Pillar, former Foreign Minister in 1956-1965, and Noli's friend. (Behar column. Fan Noley, as I knew him. Public House “Duturia”, Tirana, 1997, Page. 157)
But compliments, congratulations, promises, certainly accompanied by invitations and demands for friendship and cooperation, Noley was not given only by Albania. They came from America, where they lived, from England, Italy, Greece,- all over the Albanian diaspora.
The renowned anti-communist Kosta Chechrezi, in his letter on January 11th 1947, sent Noli, “advised by several joint friends in New York, proposes to join and co-operate in a <x1-initiative issue on Albania's rescue issue”, now that Albania's “has taken on the worst rub”.
We don't know any of Noli's answers, if there was, but it's known he didn't join the Chechrezi” (Behar column, Fan Noley, as I knew him. Bottom house “Tirana, 1997. Fq.152)
An invitation for co-operation “for a National Assembly with the diaspora Albanians, Noli would also come from the one who snatched the prime minister's throne, sentenced him to death in absentia and sent his exile, Ahmet Zogu. (Nasho Yorgaki. Fan S.Noli. Life. The OMbarRA GVG publishing house. Tirana, 2005. Page 178)
Even that invitation was not answered.
Already, as the paper correctly wrote “Sunelli”, in an editorial of its “Fan Noley is not a person, but a national institution” (“Sunelli”, 1959)
It's very difficult to be a national-institution writer “=x1> and, at the same time, independent.
Even in cases where institutions are state organisms - even democratic - it is not easy to be independent.
It's easy to imagine, how difficult it is and what attacks it has to face a man, a writer, how much more a <x0 national-institutor-institution”, to resist politics and political power, loaded with people, money, propaganda, etc., to remain both institution and independent.
The writer seeks the work of buying it himself, and they search for it to buy the work and the name.
If Nol's work is unattainable and unattainable, it did not remove the risk at all; rather, it added. But that would only mean that, by now, all the weight of the shocks, so, twice, - would fall on the man.
It happened alone and vulnerable within the vicious circle of politics, where everyone tried to grab, tear, tear apart, what could,- the head, the arms or the legs, (-a single statement, a photo, an exit together in public - an article or a poem to the leader would make it look, if at the end of this massacre, the writer would not have anything left.
For paradox, Noli's independence was, perhaps, the most endangered of its “”, from Albania. The patients of the Albanian “could be named “the death of freedom”, right from where it had its soil. I'd fight until I die. The reward enough for my war I want to be a little lab song when he dies” (Save Sala, Fan Noley's Letter to Thanas Tagoni, September 26, 1906. Unknown Fan Noli “French Library “Shkodra, 2008, Page 44).
But could a bought writer sing the song?
The danger was great. Noli himself had written, black on white, with his own hand, that Enver Hoxha's “guverna robs Albania of death nails with heroic sacrifices in the period of war”. Even, though, Enver Hoxha's “Guverna, not only saved Albania from death but now lay firm foundations for the state with reforms and constructive deeds... Our ballists are a heterogen group and they don't even have a program. ” (“Two words for Ballists” “Sunelli”, March 26, 1947).
The Bishop could not predict that <x0 9.ner- day-to-day” these statements could “apply <x2x3> with each of the political parties to “kapur”? Of course, he confidently wrote down what he wrote, but for his “ “, namely, official Tirana, these proved to be enough, which, according to her, “national institution” to be called “their own”. Therefore, and in its successive letters, Tirana insisted: “Come, just to come to Albania, even temporarily, because “we have elections”, “in today's situation...”, “great political help and”.
Open it up.
In 1944, Fan Noley was 62 years old, mature man, with two-fold the age of leaders of political Tirana, and the main, with a mountain of deeds and political experience and a great name.
Would you say, could they just throw these calls into the political trap so easily, the letter and open articles in lines a man who had been used to reading between lines?
Fan Noley's mind was a profound mind - one that did not believe easily.
Intrigues of power warfare, Nolly had not, simply, taught them from Shakespeare's translation of dramas, but from his back, and in addition, he had been living in the world's largest democratic country, separate school.
Of course, he had also learned from the great world of the book and from Shakespeare's dramas. But, Macbeth, Hamlet, King Lir, and other masterpieces of the great playwright, he had written to Albanians in their own language, with the same noble purpose, as he had done 400 and a few years before him, Makiaveli, who gave his country and world “Prince” to learn how to protect from the absolute Prince”, political power, dictatorships and dictatorships everywhere.
Compared to <x0...
Fan Noley could agree to come to Albania, only if it would be worthy of him and all Albanians; such as that he would feel good with all three “agreements”: Free citizen, democratic and patriotic; The writer “national institution” and independent, and; T
His grace, Metropolitan, Teofhan Stilian Noli, founder of the Albanian Autocephales Orthodox Church.
