“We'll take a step forward (aeroplanes produced in the country) We need to increase the production capacity of tanks without a pilot. We will do this,” said Erdogan during a meeting he had at the presidential complex in Ankara on 21 February.
Five Turkish soldiers have recently been killed in a tank near the Syrian region of Sheikh Haruz in the African district, where Turkey had launched a military operation against the People's Protection Unit (YPG) on January 20th, reports “Hurriyet”, broadcast Periscopi.
About all armoured carriers [acting] on Africa are produced in the country. I thank our friends for producing them,” said Erdogan.
The Turkish president has repeatedly criticised several foreign countries for allegedly willing to sell aircraft without a pilot, armed or unarmed, stressing that pilotless systems could lower victims.
After meeting with the Undersecretary of Defence Industry Executive Committee (SSM) on 31 January, the Turkish president's statement reportedly has “a total of 55 projects worth 9, 4 billion dollars. ”
The committee decided to add further local and national <x0-systems” to assist the military in the military operation, codenamed “TheDega of Wallyr” in Africa, Syria./Periscopi/
