The day is scheduled to be marked on February 11th since 2009, with the goal of raising awareness of the European emergency number 112.
This activity will be kept in the 112th centre in the existing “RR object. Crowley Petar, No.138 in Zvecan” by 12:00.
On June 30, 1937, in London, the 99 issue was first used to call Emergency Emergency. There was no phone service to call 911 before the 99. This number became the world's first emergency phone number. After the introduction of 99, the procedure has been changed: when people call 999, a red light will mean that it's an emergency call, and operators have to give priority to answering the phone.
Today, when people use smart phones, the 99 is not that appropriate, and it can be telephoned by mistake. Thus, emergency numbers 112 are used in Europe, while 911 is used in the United States. Interestingly, 99 is still available in the United Kingdom except 112.
